Welcome to the CT AVC and Wildlife Connectivity discussion group! Animal Vehicle Collisions (AVC) have become an increasingly important area of data collection for the Department from a Safety and Biology standpoint. Transportation projects may have direct or indirect affects on AVC's and wildlife movement. This email discussion list was created to provide a forum for Caltrans biologists and maintenance involved with these issues to ask questions, share experiences and ideas, post news and events, and to discuss possible solutions of how to address AVC's and wildlife connectivity associated with our facilities. For privacy purposes, this list is a 'closed' list - it is not open to the general public for subscribing, or for viewing archives or the membership list. Subscription requests will be approved by the CT-AVC list moderator. All messages sent to this list will be held for moderator approval. The list archives and actual membership are for members eyes only - archives and member lists are password-protected. All posts will be closely monitoried for content and appropriateness. Using CT-AVC
To post a message to all the list members, send email to ct-avc@lists.dot.ca.gov. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to CT-AVC
Subscribe to CT-AVC by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
