We have posted Construction Procedure Directive 16-7, "Shortage of Material-Fly Ash," on our website:
This directive notifies staff of a potential shortage of fly ash material and ensures statewide consistency for administering this type of material shortage. The resident engineer notifies the Division of Construction field coordinator if a written request for relief and other documentation is received from the contractor, and grants nonworking days if the material shortage affects the controlling operation. Contractors may substitute other approved supplementary cementitious material for fly ash under the conditions listed in the directive.
